HKITA 2010 - 2011 Training Programs

Check out HKITA intensive training programs for 2010 - 2011 season. Some of the highlights for this exciting coming season are visits by head coaches from University of Chicago, Univeristy of Washington at St. Louis and Wellesley College (confirmed) and numerous overseas tennis tour to enrich your tennis experience and character building.

This coming season HKITA coaches have designed a new program which will have more focus on physical fitness program as we believe stronger fitness leads to stronger mental toughness and inevitably better overall game.

Elite & College Preparatory program: For aspiring tournament level players ages 12 - 18 years whose goals are to play college tennis or professional tours.

Future Stars program: For players ages 8 - 11 years whose goals are to play tournaments and achieve national or international junior rankings.

Little Stars program: For players ages 5 - 7 years who want to improve thier game and play local tournaments.

Young Guns program: For players ages 10 - 14 years who want to improve thier game and play for their school team  and local and international tournaments.

 

HKITA ELITE & COLLEGE PREPARATORY PLANNING 2010 - 2011


PROGRAM GOALS
• To help our players improve their technique, tactical understanding, physical fitness and mental toughness.
• To nurture and prepare our players to produce outstanding results at local junior tournaments, to represent Hong Kong and to prepare for US College tennis.
• To help and guide our players for college admission as student athletes.
• To help and guide our players find tennis scholarship.
• To provide a platform for our players to build their character and self-confidence.
• To provide international tennis experiences.

US COLLEGE COACHES VISIT
There will be a few coaches coming to visit HKITA for 2010 – 2011 term. Confirmed coaches are coach Martin Perry from University of Chicago, coach Roger Follmer from University of Washington at St. Louis and coach Brian Kuscher from Wellesley College. Coach Paul Wardlaw from Brown University and coach Horace Choy from New York University are also planning to visit HKITA this term, but not yet confirmed.

FITNESS TRAINING
For this coming term, HKITA coaches will schedule regular fitness sessions starting in October after everyone has settled down with their school and tennis schedules. Depending on the group, fitness training can be scheduled before or after group training. This term’s fitness training (volume and intensity) will be moderately increased to make sure HKITA players will be stronger physically than other players. Stronger fitness capacity also translates automatically to stronger mental toughness.

FEES
6x week – 5400 HKD (72h monthly / 75$ per hour)
5x week – 5100 HKD (60h monthly / 85$ per hour)
4x week – 4500 HKD (48h monthly / 95$ per hour)
3x week – 4000 HKD (36h monthly / 110$ per hour)
2x week – 3300 HKD (24h monthly / 140$ per hour)
1x week – 2900 HKD (12h monthly / 240$ per hour)


Cheque is payable to HK International Tennis Academy Ltd before the 5th of each month (e.g., September fee to be paid before the 5th of September). There will be a 5% surcharge for late payment.


RAINY DAYS ARRANGEMENT
Our season will end on June 30 and from July 1 – 15 we will organize rainy days make up classes free of charge.

 

HKITA FUTURE STARS PROGRAM 2010 – 2011

MISSION
• To help players improve their technical and tactical understanding by working on the core foundation of tennis.
• To help players built strong core fundamentals.
• To help players build their character and self-confidence.
• To help players improve their overall game, mental toughness and physical fitness.
• To help players win matches.
• To provide the best training program for aspiring juniors in Hong Kong.
• To provide international tennis experiences.

To fully benefit from our Future Stars Program we recommend your child to join at least twice/ week. If your child just plays once a week, he/she will not benefit from the program (your child will only get tennis lessons, not a training program).

PLAYERS
We will only accept maximum 8 players per group for the coming season.

Please call your coach before leaving for training. Free make up classes will be from July 1 – 15.
