End of Season Message from coach Vuk Zelunka
26 Jul 2010
Elite program, throughout this whole season had very good and consistent attendance by the most of our players. It is the consistency that has enabled us to make a big breakthrough in each ones game. We have managed to achieve some important tasks in two major areas of the game, technique and tactic.
Technically, we have put a lot of effort in mastering the serve and I am confident to say that the most of the kids have made a significant progress on their first and second serve. We have improved a power level and we have figured out the way how to raise a consistency level. We have also been working on our net game a lot and the results are quite noticeable in that area as well. For forehand and backhand, we have gone through a process of mastering situational varieties in a rally game and thanks to that we have managed to raise power and consistency level in that area significantly.
Tactically, our players have improved a lot, gaining a higher level of maturity in their game. It is very transparent there have been some general changes in their games. They are playing matches now, following a point structure, building up points making choices according to the logic we were developing throughout the whole season.
All these things I am talking about are very visible, especially nowadays looking at their tournament performances and results. I could mention and compare present and past performances and results for each one of them and I am sure that each ones progress would be noticeable but I will not. I will mention only few of them who have made some important results.
