We couldn’t imagine playing in weather like this without having any energy food (such as chocolate and ice cream) and lots of water. The academy at ...

Pyramid Tennis Academy Tour, Bangkok by Ti Jia Ming (Malaysia)

April 1, 2008 – 11:56 am

I think that the Bangkok trip was quite beneficial because we learnt about a new tactic (inside, outside and 90 degrees) that is quite useful for match play.  I didn't get it at first because it was kind of complicated but in the end I understood what the coach was explaining.  I also find the talk that Benny gave us about body language during a match and pressure on court inspiring as what he ...

Liu Min halted in Semis of HK ITF

January 18, 2008 – 10:51 am

Yang Zi, the # 3 seed from China was just too strong for Liu Min who showed lack of experience. Her serve let her down for most of the match, in which she hit less than 50% of 1st serves in and allowed her chinese opponent to attack a too passive 2nd serve . Out of 8 service games, Liu Min got broken 6 times and on the other hand, she wasn't ...

On Tuesday, the girls played their 1st round doubles, which was a way to avenge their losses in singles. Unfortunately, the end result was quite similar as only Carmen Lai was able to win a tough 3-setter with her Hong Kong partner, Wu Ho-Ching. They beat Feng Yi-Di (HKG) and Tiffany Tang (CAN). In all other doubles, the girls played stronger opponents but were still able to show good doubles skills. ...
